We're done (for now)

Well, we have survived our first pageant. It was definately an experience. Emily had a really great time even though she didn't place. She made a new friend, Michelle who is from Dallas and they have already made plans to hang out this week. She is already making plans for next year. Fortunately, she has caught on as to how this all works and has no great expectations. She just enjoyed meeting new girls and having her time in the spotlight. Some girls were very uspet, however. There were a lot of tears. It was really sad to see. There were almost 160 pre-teens alone, so competition was tough. (5 age groups total)

Here are some pix from Sunday.

This is Emily and Michelle. Michelle was in the top 25.

The kids feeding fish @ Les's office. JP Morgan has a beautiful landscaped area in front of one of their buildings. His office is only a block away from where the pageant was held, so we took a lunch break on Sunday to relax & feed the ducks & fish.
