Half way there!

Today was the first day of competition for the National American Miss pageant. Last night they held an info type class and then a get aquainted party.

They spent today practicing for the formalwear & personal introduction contests. They also held the optional contests. Ellie was allowed to pick a contest (or 2;) that we would pay for since she raised every penny of her entrance fee. She picked the actress & photogenic categories.

SHe has to be back in Addison bright & early (8:30AM)tomorrow to learn the pageant production number and have her personal interview with the judges. That's alot for not getting home until almots 11 tonight-YIKES!!!!! It will truly be a long day tomorrow. After the final practice, they will post the top 5 winners of the optional contests & those 5 will redo their performance to decide who places where.

Here are some pix from tonight. I am a really stinky photographer so these aren;t the best quality. The first two are before the formalwear competition. The 3rd pic is one of Ellie & her new friend Jessie. Jessie is from Waco-unfortunately. Maybe another day trip is in order;)
