Always Playing Catch Up

We are in full swing at school. First report cards have been issued already & we're well into the 2nd nine weeks. LJ has come around and readily goes to school (most mornings). Ellie did well and missed the honor roll by one class.....AP World History. Sierra was on the all A honor roll and LJ is putting along. No grades for him yet.

Sierra made both of the 2nd grade UIL teams:Storytelling & Creative Writing. She'll compete for the district title in early January. She is also on the Odyssey of the Mind team. Ellie was house manager for the school's theatre production "The Nerd".

In late September we travelled to Denver to get our newest addition: Johnny Cash.
We went camping over Columbus Day weekend with our friends Ashly, James & Alex and enjoyed a cold & rainy time. Lots of firewood was used. We did get to see the changing leaves and geocached along the Talimena Scenic Drive.

LJ has been loosing teeth left & right, putting the tooth fairy into overtime. 3 teeth in two weeks!

PTO & volunteer activities are taking over. Both of the little had field trips in October. LJ went to the pumpkin Patch
& Sierra went to UNT's educational center.

We also celebrated Sierra's birthday w/ a Hallowe'en party. We had three teams & had relays, a donut eating contest and other games. Tons of food & lots of presents!

Les is working two jobs @ JP Morgan right now and playing hockey.
