We're back!

Wow-I was really surprised at how long ago it was since I last made an entry! We have been soooo busy these day. We've had a fun filled summer, full of travels. We headed to Colorado as soon as school let out in May and camped for a week. We saw the Great Sand Dunes in south central CO and then a few days outside of Colorado Springs.

In July, the kids went to my mom's for a week & then we took a day trip to Washington DC. We got to tour the White House, Capitol & Washington Monument. In between tours, we stopped at the Natural History Museum and took in the rain forest butterfly exhibit.

August took us to the beach! We went to Anna Maria Island which is south of Tampa-St. Pete Florida. We saw and got to hold many cool things like live sand dollars, pygmy sea horses, scallops, shrimp......... There were also many beautiful birds as well. The water temp was perfect! We swam, snorkled & played in the sand.

It's back to the grind tomorrow! It's the first day of school and LJ starts kindergarden. He's very excited and can't wait :)The kids got to meet their teacher on Friday night. Emily has a jam packed schedule this year with two math classes, pre-AP Chemistry, AP English, AP World History, Spanish II, Theatre II and Medical Sciences.

We are organized sports free for the fall!!!!!! Yay! So we'll hopefully have more time to camp this year.
