The week that was.
Well, it's been pretty ho-hum around here. We've been trying to fill our days with activities. Sierra and LJ are enrolled in kids' cooking classes at our local Market Street grocery store. Last week they made Italian food, this week it will be French.
We haven't made it to the library yet for the summer reading program. The kids always enjoy participating in that program hosted by the Frisco Library. Sierra has become an excellent reader and unfortunately, she's sharpening her spelling skills as well, LOL
Sierra is signed up for cheerleading in the fall and I will be coaching her squad. Being a former cheerleader, I figured I could handle this task quite well. It's already SNAFU and we're just selecting our squads. Apparently, they take cheerleading as seriously as football here in TX, even in the first grade. Well, the 1st graders aren't as serious as their parents are. 'Nuf said.
We're finishing up the blueberries from our bush and anxiously waiting the arrival of our veggies. After a slow start, they seem to be picking up.
Less than two weeks 'til Grandma-Yay! Benny is looking forward to seeing Grandma, his best pal. He's still doing a little happy dance over the departure of Zinger. Unfortunately, we had to give Zinger to my in-laws because he became too aggressive with Benny. After two trips to the vet in as many months, we decided we just couldn't take the chance of things progressing any further. Especially since this last incident occurred in the middle of the kids. The Zing is in good hands and we can still visit.
