Status quo

Not much new, exciting or interesting going on around here. We had a baby shower/all-star party a couple of Sundays ago. Our good friends Liz & Matt are expecting their first baby-a boy-in early March.

The girls are getting settled back into school. We finally got the results for Emily's UIL science competition and her team took 1st place! All A's & B's for the first semester. Now we're just waiting for the distribution of high school courses. Our school district is implementing a new program beginning in the fall. Students can pick a cirriculum tailored to their possible career interest. Emily is leaning towards health sciences since she's still got vet on the brain.

Sierra is really coming along with her reading. She's still not big on school-except for the social aspect-but she does very well & behaves. She is thoroughly enjoying ice skating lessons. She's always excited to go & begs us to take her almost everyday.

LJ is still into Cars. We play Cars everyday-still. We look for new Cars all the time and just when I think we're caught up-they release another hard to find character. He's warming up to ice skating lessons. He even "skated" across the ice w/o having to hold hands. I should probably say w/o insisting to hold hands. He could do it if he wanted to. He just likes to hold mommy's hand :)
